"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life... and the life was the light of men ..." John 1:1-4
"That you may come to share in the very being of God ..." 2 Peter 1:4
I woke this morning at 2:35 AM. Stuff just racing through my mind.
What about Clayton? Seizures, 4 years old. What is this all about?
What about Roger? Cancer, prayed for and believed in Your power to heal. And yet cancer still raging through his body.
Silent Night? Not so silent in Iraq, Afghanistan, Congo, and in Louisville where shots ring out.
I never get over struggling with how little He lets me in on stuff.
I want the details.
I think he should tell me more than He does.
But of course, He usually does not.
It has taken me 63 years to understand I will never understand what God is up to.
And that's the way it is.
In the beginning, God.
Jesus asked Peter, "Who do you say that I am?"
Peter answered Him, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."
Jesus said, "You didn't figure this out yourself. The Spirit revealed it to you."
Unless God reaches down and explains Himself to us, there is no way we can begin to comprehend Him.
This I finally accept and understand.
