The Mountain of Despair
by Dean Chicquette

Realize it or not we all stand on the mountain of despair of which we have traversed our entire lives. From that precipice we dance equally with truth and illusion embracing the possible while adorned with our innumerable scars, our failures. Here we KNOW love. It is a knowing that gives voice to our deepest pleasure that we Are alive. And this we cannot escape even in death. Reason drones while faith sores above every hope lost in painful regrets. What we wanted or want to be is humbled by reality. Grace becomes our blood.
