This piece really struck a note with me and has 'solved a mystery' for me, something I had pondered a while back, when still in separation. Now, His Oneness has made this 'mystery' clear to me, or as clear as I can understand at the Present Moment.
I had done a word study a while back, while still in separation, on the words "glory" and "glorified" and what that meant to God and to us.
The phrase "we change from glory to glory" has now become more clear.
One scripture in the OT, where God speaks is that "He will not share His glory with another".
I looked up the word, glory, and I came across these definitions: "worshipful praise, honour and thanksgiving", "something that secures praise or renown", "distinguished quality or asset", "great beauty and splendor", "something marked by beauty or resplendence", "splendor beatific happiness of heaven - eternity", "state of great gratification or exaltation".
In the NT, there are these scriptures:
John 17:22 - I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be as one as we are one.
Romans 8:17 - "if indeed live share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory".
Romans 8:18 - "... not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us".
1 Corinthians 2:7 - "speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for OUR glory before time began".
2 Corinthians 3:8 - "And we, who with UNVEILED faces ALL reflect the Lord's glory are being (constant state of change) transformed into his likeness (the image of the invisible made visible through us), with ever-increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit".
Colossians 3:4 - "When Christ, who IS YOUR LIFE, appears, (appears by the revelation of the Spirit within us), then you will also appear with him (the unity in duality - He and we) in glory".
The whole purpose, as we all know is for God to reveal His son in us so that God is glorified, His Son is glorified, and that we are glorified. And this 'glory' is not our own, something outside of us, but is God's glory, who He so unselfishly shares with us by giving us the Glory of the invisible God made visible in us, by His Spirit. And that glory, His glory, rises up in us through His Son, in worshipful praise, something that is a continual outpouring of thankfulness and gratitude, like the never-ending stream or river, which wells up in us, moment by moment, giving perpetual thanks to the One who bore our sufferings with us and now, with us, gives us His glory, so our Father is glorified.
All sons and daughters go through justification, sanctification and then glorification.
And though, we are but the vessels, or the Branch in the Vine, we are outward manifestation of the invisible One made visible in us and through us as us. Christ in Fred form; Christ in Janis form; Christ in Nancy form.
This truly is the secret wisdom of God, His mystery, the mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Our total life is one of worshipful praise in whatever we do, from the mundane to the magnificent, and each moment is an expression of praise and worship to Him, who has given us 'eternal life' NOW, in the present moment.
God's glory is to give his sons and daughters 'eternal life', so that His eternal Life is expressed on earth, now, in the Presence of the Present Moment through His glory.
He has torn the veil from our eyes, so now we Behold His glory in others, in us, for it is to His glory, that we express His eternal life in us for others. Can there possibly be any other way?
As earlier on, the meaning of the incarnated life, the resurrected life, the One Life, is that Life we live, now, for others.
And this Life is not a forced one, nor one based on striving or self-effort, as this Life has accomplished all, before the beginning of time.
We just join others on God's highway, and He directs the traffic flow, where to go, what to do, what to say and our freedom is just to "BE", be the One that God has created "in His image" and form, His splendor being expressed in many different forms, as His nature.
How deep and wide is "God's secret wisdom" ....
We love and live as He loves and lives through us ... and this unfettered flow of life-giving water ... freely goes where it goes to quench the thirst of others.
We are truly humbled in the wake of His Love.
